VIETNAMESE LION DANCERS / Vietnamese Dance

East Lawn – Saturday, 3:45 – 4:15 pm

Members of Vietnamese Volunteer Youth present an acrobatic, symbolic, often humorous and always entertaining representation of the mythic lion. Thought to bring good luck or ward off evil spirits, the Lion Dance is performed primarily at traditional festivals such as Tet (Lunar new year), but also during other celebrations and occasions such as the opening of a new business.
