HARRY JAMES & FRIENDS / Navajo Music
North Stage – Friday, 6:00 – 6:30 pm
Harry James sings songs and maintains traditions that are an important part of his Dine, or Navajo, heritage. He was born in the Navajo Reservation southwest of Window Rock, Arizona, but for over fifty years he has lived in metropolitan Salt Lake where he raised a family. An elder, a veteran and a respected community organizer, Mr. James weaves his own life history into song presentations accompanied on the hand drum.
